White Painted Floors

When we moved in there was carpet in the entire house except in the kitchen and bathroom. There is hardfloor underneath, which is what I’ve always wanted in my house and even better, it is in great condition so Paul sanded and restained it.We ripped up the carpet and replaced it in the bedroom with a light tan color.  Now that the office is our next project we haven’t had the time to figure out what to do in there yet. We already know we want hardfloor so that our chairs can roll easier. Now the question is white paint? is it a good idea just because it’s popular? I love it, but will Paul?

I love the idea of white floors, but I wonder how they would be to maintain? Would they get really dirty, and how would they be with office chairs rolling on them? I’ve only seen them in magazines and never in real life. I’d love to see more pics of your cute house!

I’m one of those people who has a hard time covering up beautiful wood with paint, especially in this instance. Being that you have chairs that roll, I imagine that the paint would wear down pretty quickly in the area the chair is used.

I think the white would look really nice. The only thing I would be concerned with is it wearing where the chairs roll.
